Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?’”

January 15, 2017 will mark the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. federal holiday. This milestone is a perfect opportunity for Americans to honor Dr. King’s legacy through service. The MLK Day of Service empowers individuals, strengthens communities, creates solutions to social problems, and moves us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a beloved community. The MLK Day of Service is a part of United We Serve, the President’s national call-to-service initiative. It calls for Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to our most pressing national problems. Honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Enduring Legacy of Service – make a pledge to volunteer throughout the year! Check out our volunteer projects and events below to see how you can get involved on the 2018 MLK Day of Service Weekend.
