Council of Community Organizations of Oktibbeha County (COCO) was established in 1984 with a dream to construct an educational building and recreational community for Oktibbeha County. The facility serves as a social and educational center for residents. As the result of collaborations with community organizations, programs for grant writing, an arts program, health and crafts fairs, recreational activities, and preservation of cultural heritage were founded.

COCO Tutoring:
3rd Saturday of Each Month; 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Do you want to help students stay on track during the school year? COCO is looking for people to volunteer to be a tutor. Tutoring takes place on the 3rd Saturday of each month, from 9 am – noon. Tutoring covers Kindergarten through 12th grade, in the subjects of reading, math, science, and journal writing. Please aim to commit to volunteering on a recurring base to help foster a relationship with the student. If you’re interested in volunteering, contact Dr. Peggy J. Rogers at

Summer Market:
June 3, 8:00 AM
Come help COCO at their community market! They are looking for 5-10 volunteers to help with booth set up/take down, supervising inflatables, greeting visitors, and supervising kitchen sales. Volunteers must be 18 years old or older and are encouraged to commit to at least a 2 hour shift. If you’re interested in volunteering, contact Dr. Peggy J. Rogers at
